Organization

Albo Aruba N.V. is a strictly managed, horizontal organization within which each staff member knows and bears his or her own responsibilities. As Albo Aruba N.V. does not have any "layers" within its organization, the communication between staff members is quick and direct. This ensures that staff members in their turn, are also able to translate the information quickly and directly to the shop floor. Albo Aruba N.V. deems good communication between the employees of great importance and promotes this by regularly updating, modernizing and/or upgrading its administrative processing system. Employees
Compared to companies in, for instance, The Netherlands, Albo Aruba N.V. employs a relatively large number of people. The reason is quite simple: there are no specialized subcontractors on Aruba, such as steel benders, tilers, formwork carpenters, masons or plasterers. So the company has engaged many people with many different skills.

Albo Aruba N.V. carries out the entire construction process, with the exception of the paint work and the technical installations, under its own management and with its own employees. This means that Albo Aruba N.V. can plan, guide and steer the entire construction process itself. Consequently, this means that the company takes full responsibility for the projects.

This way of operating requires perfect guidance of the projects and a team of pragmatic project managers, supervisors and foremen, who understand and have an overall view of the entire construction process. Albo Aruba N.V. has the people necessary to execute the job.

In view of the long years of service of our staff, it may be obvious that they have gained rich experience in the construction methods on Aruba. A close-knit group of approximately 140 specialized craftsmen make up for the permanent production core of Albo Aruba N.V. Any additional production workers that might be required, are supplied by carefully selected companies. In 1980, Albo Aruba N.V. concluded a Collective Labor Agreement in cooperation with the Federacion di Trahadornan di Aruba (F.T.A.). This agreement is usually renewed every three years.

Quality care
Albo Aruba N.V. is well aware that the quality to be supplied has to meet the highest standards. In order to be able to achieve this, Albo Aruba N.V. has set up an internal quality plan. This plan is implemented in our project method; such to the complete satisfaction of the clients.

Safety
Safety is very important within the day-to-day construction process of Albo Aruba N.V. With the arrival of many foreign employees on Aruba, each with his/her own interpretation of the concept of safety, it became necessary to regulate the organization of safety within the company authoritatively.

This is why in 1995 Albo Aruba N.V. introduced and implemented a safety plan called Safety, Health and Environment, abbreviated S.H.E. By effectively implementing the S.H.E. plan, Albo Aruba N.V. contributes to improving the safety of its employees as much as possible, reducing absence due to illness and accidents and protecting the environment. In 2007 the entire plan was revised and adapted to new regulations.

Furthermore every supervisor organises toolbox meetings on his project on a weekly bases. Participation is mandatory for all employees present on the job site. During these meetings different aspects of the S.H.E. plan are discussed.

Albo Aruba N.V. is one of the few construction companies on Aruba which engages a qualified employee, who is exclusively charged with the supervision of the compliance with the S.H.E. plan.
