By means of a well managed organization, within which each staff member knows and bears his or her responsibilities, the projects are carried out in accordance with meticulous planning. N.V. Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij values good communication between its employees. This is promoted by regularly improving our internal administrative processing systems and adjusting these to the latest developments.

In a road construction company, the equipment and the asphalt plant are at the company’s core. The use and maintenance of the equipment, as well as the asphalt production, are centrally coordinated and controlled.

Employees
A road building company has its own “culture”, which clearly differs from a general construction company. The organization has to be very flexible. This flexibility is an important factor in the company’s success.

Without exception, all employees of N.V. Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij are very motivated and committed to excellence. Thanks to the many years of service of our staff members and our production personnel, and to their motivation and ample experience, the company has proven to be able to carry out any project to its clients' full satisfaction.

Since 1966, the company has aimed at stabilizing the number of production workers as much as possible to a permanent core of approximately 100 employees, while any additional production workers required, will be hired through specialized companies.

Since 1969, the personnel that is member of the Collective Labor Agreement is represented by the union FTA “Federacion di Trahadornan di Aruba”. Over the years N.V. Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij has built a strong and reliable relationship with the FTA.

Quality
The team of N.V. Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij continuously pursues the highest quality, in the administrative field as well as in the technical execution. With this in mind, internal quality assurance plans were set up and applied to the projects to the full satisfaction of all parties involved.

Safety in the company
The well-being of all employees of N.V. Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij is a constant concern of the company. The safety of the people working at the plants and on the job sites is very important to Senior Management. It was made one of the most significant spearheads within the company. In cooperation with Albo Aruba N.V., in 1995 a joint operating safety plan was introduced; “Safety, Health and Environment”, abbreviated S.H.E.

By implementing the S.H.E. plan on its projects, N.V. Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij is continuously reducing employees' absence due to illness and accidents, and trying to protect the environment as much as possible.
