Albo Holding Company N.V. has been operating in Aruba since 1986. Its subsidiaries include the following Aruba-based companies:
• Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij (AWM) N.V.
• Blokki Nacional
In December 2004, Albo Holding Company N.V. became part of “Janssen de Jong Groep”, which is headquartered in The Netherlands.
Albo Holding Company N.V. was primarily founded for the transfer and holding of the shares of the aforementioned corporations and provides for the close cooperation between the operating companies.
The combination of the construction company (Albo Aruba N.V.) and the road building company (N.V. Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij) is a great advantage in the realization of projects.
The partners complement each other in an advisory role as well as with operations. Close cooperation between the companies is demonstrated in the shared management, office buildings and administration, and in the joint involvement in projects as well as joint purchasing of materials.
Albo Holding also owns and maintains all the required equipment for construction and road building and has a highly-trained staff that is experienced in heavy machinery operation. Both Albo Aruba N.V. and N.V. Arubaanse Wegenbouw Maatschappij use the maintenance garage at Canashito for their equipment.
Any repairs can be carried out quickly and professionally.
Albo Aruba N.V.
The construction company of Albo Aruba N.V. was founded through the cooperation of Albo Bonaire N.V. and Bonbocemi N.V. Both companies had been operating in Bonaire for years. In 1979, the two companies worked together on the building contract for the “Hotelvakschool Aruba” [Hospitality Trade School Aruba], later known as the Bushiri Beach Resort.
To cover the Aruban construction market in its entirety by a company based in Aruba and operating completely independently, Albo Bonaire N.V. and Bonbocemi N.V. founded Albo Aruba N.V. in 1980. In 1986, the shareholders transferred the shares of Albo Aruba N.V. to an Aruban holding company by the name of Albo Holding Company N.V.
As a result of the dedication of its people, Albo Aruba N.V. has developed into one of the leading all-round construction companies on Aruba.
